Savannah River National Laboratory
Dr. Alicia Strange Fessler, Ph.D has been a researcher at Savannah River National Laboratory for four years (one year as a postdoctoral researcher). Dr. Strange is a spectroscopy expert with several current research projects developing Raman and IR spectroscopic instruments for the detection of analytes relevant to the nuclear community, as well as a mass spectrometry project focused on evaluating a commercial system for measurements related to tritium processing. She has experience leading research from lab-based funding programs (lab directed research and development, plant directed research and development) and external funding programs (NNSA). Dr. Strange is also the founding chair for Spectra, an internal employee resource group dedicated to illuminating the role of women at SRNL and the greater DOE.
